Been using my Exmark for foliar nutrition a lot lately and think i will be going liquid for a good part of my applications. Reading a few articles on how plants absorb foliar feeding got me thinking that the floodjets on the Ex/Toro are not ideal for full leaf coverage. For best foliar uptake, a fine droplet is recommended, where the FJ is coarse to ultra coarse depending on psi. I also find the floodjet to be lacking for low to ground plantain and think i might prefer better leaf…

FAIRFAX, Va.  — The Irrigation Association noted July 2020 has once again been designated as Smart Irrigation Month. This month-long initiative is an opportunity for the irrigation industry to promote the importance and value of smart irrigation practices.

Smart Irrigation Month kicks off on July 7 with Technology Tuesday. Irrigation professionals are encouraged to wear blue on July 7 to raise awareness about everything that makes up smart irrigation.

This year, the IA is focusing on the people behind smart irrigation, celebrating the professionals within the industry. Irrigation professionals are invited to share their stories about smart irrigation and how they have used it in their operation or promoted its benefits to customers. Go to www.smartirrigationmonth.org to share your story.

“With the challenges our industry, our country and the world are facing right now with the COVID-19 health crisis, we are proud to be able to celebrate our industry through Smart Irrigation Month,” said IA Government and Public Affairs Director John Farner. “Smart Irrigation Month is our opportunity to showcase the value and importance of efficient irrigation. Focusing on the people behind irrigation is a great way to recognize those who are making a significant impact on managing our vulnerable water supplies.”

Smart Irrigation Month serves as the showcase month for the irrigation industry and the public to recognize and promote the benefits associated with smart and efficient irrigation.

“The irrigation industry continues to be at the forefront of developing technologies and practices for the most efficient and effective use of water,” Farner said. “We look forward to celebrating the people who make it all happen during 2020 Smart Irrigation Month.”

ATLANTA – Takeuchi-U.S., a compact equipment manufacturer, launches the redesigned TL8R2. The TL8R2 is engineered to provide power, strength and maneuverability. The radial lift design offers a tipping load of 6,041 pounds with an operating weight of 9,182 pounds.

The TL8R2 is equipped with a 74.3 horsepower turbocharged engine that is EPA Final Tier 4 Emission Compliant. The Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC) and Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) featured on this machine minimizes emissions.

Creep Mode is a standard feature on the TL8R2 models equipped with high flow auxiliary hydraulics. This feature will enable operators to match the forward speed of the track loader to a particular attachment without having to constantly meter the travel lever. The creep mode function is ideal for attachments that require a consistent, repeatable travel speed, such as a cold planer and trencher.

The automotive styled operators station features a 5.7-inch multi-informational color display with a rearview camera and a sealed rocker switch bank that helps improve performance and functionality by providing the operator with a wide range of operational information. Also, standard equipment on the TL8R2 are the low-effort pilot controls and proportional auxiliary switches to give the operator the precision needed to work more efficiently.

Additionally, a pressurized cab is an available option on the TL8R2. Optional cabs are equipped with a roll-up door, A/C, heat, defrost and front wiper and AM/FM/Bluetooth radio.

“Takeuchi is excited to release the completely redesigned TL8R2” said Keith Kramlich, national product and training manager. “Takeuchi prides itself on our continuing tradition of innovation and advancing technology, and the TL8R2 is a perfect example of that. Operators will feel more strength, performance, maneuverability, versatility and efficiency in this machine, increasing their profits.”

Our firm is working on a landscape design and we've been asked to do an area similar to what you see in these photos below – with the dark/tinted/black "stream bed" in the center and various size lights within it. Not sure how they did any of that in these original photos. But if you were going to re-create this, how would you do it? I can't tell if that's a chamber underneath like a tinted plexiglass and there are just some sort of small lights down below. Or whether the lights are embedded…

I have a 2004 Hustler Mini Z with 575 hours, and it has a 23 horse Kawasaki FH680V. It has a problem to where when I hit bumps it will stall and you have to give it a few seconds to catch up with its self, the stalling issue gets worse the longer you run the mower. I have tried several things to try and correct the problem but have had no luck. I've jumped the seat switch, cleaned the fuel tanks, new fuel filter, new fuel lines all the way around, it has new coils, new spark plugs,…

Aspire launches new version, introduces new logo

Aspire deployed a new version of its software on May 28. Major updates in Aspire v5.6 include estimating, scheduling and invoicing enhancements to further expand the functionality of the Master Schedule of Values, streamline scheduling and optimize the invoicing process.

Complete details of all improvements will be provided to Aspire customers in the release notes.

In a recent update, Aspire introduced the concept of Master Schedule of Values for Fixed Price, Open Billing Work Orders, providing users with a centralized schedule of values sheet for each project. With this release, the company improved upon this. Users can now create a negative line item directly inside the Master Schedule of Values (SOV) when they create/win a change order that has a negative value.

Once the Master SOV is ready for invoicing, users will navigate to the Invoicing Assistant and proceed as normal. The negative Master SOV line item will appear along with the positive items.

Work Orders and T&M per Service Invoices

Now users can add a new invoice type to their Fixed Price, Open Billing (FPOB) opportunities on a service. By clicking into the service on the estimate (base estimate or change order), the user can select a new invoice type of “T&M per service”. The service will operate like any other T&M service but now fits into the FPOB workflow. Once a T&M service is complete, it will appear inside the Invoicing Assistant as ready to invoice for the opportunity. Users can invoice these services alongside the Master Schedule of Value line times from the original work order.

Schedule an Event: Opportunity Tag Now Available

Opportunity tags can help sort and organize in Aspire. This data field is now exposed in the “Schedule an Event” grid to help increase accuracy and efficiency when creating a schedule in bulk using this feature.

Auto-Expenses: Additional Invoice Types

Last year, Aspire rolled out a new Auto-Expenses functionality that allows users to create material and hours for their subs that changes based on the agreed-upon price. The new release has expanded this functionality to pull in more invoice types.

Multi-Visit Services Hours and Material Quantities

For multi-visit services, users can now set default values for both the hours and material quantities that appear in the Visit Detail screen as well as the Crew Mobile app. This improvement will eliminate the need to remember specific amounts and reduce time spent on data entry for services that require large material counts upfront for use in smaller quantities over the service’s lifecycle.

Attach Proposal to Emailed Invoices

Users can now choose to attach proposals to the same email when sending invoices. The system will use the correct layout, even if multiple exist, or will allow the user to select one if it was never set.

The company also recently released a new logo. The logo is the first of many updates the company is making.

Soon, customers will see other updates the company is making to the Aspire brand, from company marketing materials and support documents to the website. Aspire’s product team is currently designing a new Aspire user interface that will improve user experience while maintaining functionality.
